P4: Create the planned Interactive Product
M3: Create a graphical user interface combining media elements with user activity
To produce my website I will be using a mix of the tools built in to the website creator "Wix" as well as some of my own content produced by coding, In order to fulfil this, I will need to learn how to code elements into my website. Therefore, I have decided to learn a coding language known as HTML, as it is simple and easy to understand, so won't be too difficult for me to learn and utilise for basic coding.
Below I will include evidence of my learning process to learn and practise basic HTML coding with screenshots and videos of me learning and testing HTML coding elements:

HTML is Hypertext Markup Language. It is a basic form of coding that is used for online website creation. HTML elements can be described as the "building blocks" of HTML web pages, and are made up using 'Tags' which label pieces of content such as headings, buttons, paragraphs, images, etc. These Tags are incased in "<" and ">" symbols. These tags aren't displayed by browsers, but instead used to render the content of the page, and where it will be laid out.
From my experimentation, HTML can be used not only for basic elements such as text and image positioning and coding, but it can also be used to great effect in aspects such as buttons and hyperlinks. These can be very useful as navigational elements on a website, and linking to external sources such as social media seamlessly. This is where I plan on making use of HTML for my website. Below is a video of a simple Hyperlink that I use to link to a social media page:

This element could be used to great effect on my website. To make even greater use of my new HTML knowledge, I plan on creating a hyperlink similar to this, but instead of text I will use an image of the social media's logo to create an even more easy and simple to use site.
Here I will include the folders and files I have created for version control purposes:
Here are screenshots documenting the creation of my website:

Creating Social Media interaction links using HTML coding:
The user interface that I have created here utilising navigation elements, media elements and interactivity works very well and allows for users to easily find what they are looking for and interact with it with minimal hassle. This has been achieved through simple drop down menus within the navigation bar, easy to identify social media links and media such as music, videos and the shop being embedded into the website itself, requiring very minimal external pages to be reached.
