P4: Create the production materials in line with the plan
Here I will be following through from my pre-production process and will be creating the production materials needed for the creation of my intended media product.

Today's shoot went very smoothly. I got several performance shots as I desired, and all of them came out high quality. The black background gave the desired moody and dark atmosphere that I intended. I also got a shot with the green screen background for the chroma keying effect that I would like to include in the video.
The second rush is an interesting shot that I decided to get while we were shooting. This shot wasn't planned on the storyboard but I had the idea towards the end of filming and thought the angle would be interesting so I recorded it.

The shoot today went very well, I got the key shots outlined in the storyboard, as well as a few extras that I picked up during the process. For example, rush 6 was an idea that I came up with while grabbing the equipment that we needed from the music department. The piano back opened up easily and the inside of the piano looked very intricate and industrial, which I felt fit well with the style and atmosphere that I was trying to achieve.
I think with the right visual filters this will make a cool abstract shot for the video, so I will experiment with this in post-production.
Overall the weather for the outdoor shots wasn't as good as I expected, so some of the shots ended up being darker than I anticipated. If shots are too dark I might have to brighten them in post-production, but I think the dark shadowy shots will work well to the effect of the video.
For rushes 7 and 8 I shot the same sequence from two different angles. This means I can slice the two together during the editing process and show the scene from these different angles without the need for shaky camera movement.
Rush 9 shows me shooting a sequence in which I am directing the actors to stand still for a few seconds in one position, then move to another position and hold that for a few seconds etc. I plan to cut the moments where they're still together in the editing process in order to create the effect that the characters are "Teleporting" around the shot.
Rush 5 shows an interaction between two characters, and i intend to use VFX to have the flowers burst into flames when he puts the cigarette out into them. In case this doesn't work, I took rush 4, burning the flowers using lighter fluid. I followed my risk assessment here and ensured that I was a safe distance from the fire, and had one person in charge of safely igniting the fire.
In my initial plans I wanted to burn a cow heart for symbolism, but after some consideration and running the idea by some focus groups, I decided that the cow heart idea might be considered offensive and could lead to potential legal and ethical issues. Therefore I used the flowers instead.
